Ch. 9

It is important to know your users, and how your product will be used by them. It is also important to realize any assumptions you make about your users. This will help define a use model for your product. The more thorough this knowledge is, the easier it is to think in detail about the design in the early stages. Getting this knowledge early and the details in the design done will limit the amount of mistakes during the design  process.

Ch. 10

During design there is usually one resource that is more scare than the rest. It is very important to track and control this resource. It is important to lay out all the objectives and constraints. It is important for the entire team to know these objectives and constraints. It is also important that one person controls the resources.
