Ch. 5

The co-evolution model is an iterative process. The designer develops and refines solutions to the problem. The bazaar method is similar to the way that open source software works. It is a community project where the most accepted changes are what gets used. The spiral model focuses on user interfaces first before a working model is completed.


Ch. 6

Two big changes in design have taken place since 1900. One being that design is now mostly done in teams instead of by an individual. Second being that teams now collaborate using telecommunications rather than being collocated. One reason for this is because there is an increase in technological communications. Another reason is because there is a rush to get products to market.
