Ch. 15
Most designers should have hands-on experience with products they're designing. This currently rarely happens. One reason for this is because most of todays designs require knowledge that can't be learned on the spot. Another reason is because technologies are much more complex. This results in the designers and users having a disconnect. The designers must communicate with their users to get a better idea of what is needed and to better communicate any limitations.
Ch. 16.
Documentation is essential in a good design. Designers should record specifics about what they are designing and why they are designing it. Documentation will help in troubleshooting when problems arise. The process of the design must also be documented. This will help other people find out why you did what you did in your design.
