Ch. 8 Summary

Managers hire employees for certain tasks because of their abilities and their motivation. However they don't usually gauge their own companies abilities to do a project. If a disruptive technology comes out and the company isn't fit to handle it, they will fail. Sometimes, companies like HP will create a new division specifically for this new disruptive technology. When a company can focus its resources on this specific disruptive technology, it will have the best outcomes.
